Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the
receipt of your despatch No.63 of the 28th of February, 1938, regarding a representation forwarded by the
Right Honourable Sir Matthew Nathan, G.C.M.G., from
Miss M. A. Lee, formerly Nursing Sister, Hong Kong,
on the difficulty which she is experiencing in living
on her pension. I regret that I find it impossible
to consider any supplementation of pension in individual
cases of hardship such as this, particularly at such a
distant date from the first award.
